The list is organized by vehicle make and follows a nested structure that allows you to drill down by year and engine type. The ranking is sorted in descending order from LEAST to MOST reliable, focusing on the top five-ten worst options per model and year. This approach is designed to guide you away from the least dependable choices.

The ranking is focused mostly on USED vehicles. For each year, you’ll find a detailed breakdown of engine sizes, highlighting the most and least reliable engines for that specific year. The lower you go on the list, the more reliable Model, Year or Engine you’ll find for any given Make of the vehicle. Each instance would come with the link allowing you to check the potential cost of the replacement and conveniently order that part right form there.
